Hsiao-Ling Hoshino
About Me

Dr. Hoshino was born in Taipei, Taiwan but grew up in Englewood, Colorado. She spent her undergraduate career at the University of Michigan to obtain her B.S. in Microbiology and remained there to obtain her Master of Public Health degree in Occupational and Environmental Epidemiology. Her love for science and passion for education took her to Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. where she obtained her Master of Science degree in Physiology and Biophysics.

After spending much of her life in school, Dr. Hoshino pursued a career in cancer research at Lankenau Hospital in Wynnewood, Pennsylvania. While working with terminal patients, she was motivated to help care for patients in pain. With many patients complaining of tooth pain, Dr. Hoshino decided to pursue a profession in dentistry at the University of Pittsburgh. After receiving her Dental degree, she spent an additional two more years in Pittsburgh to attain her Certificate in Endodontics in order to specialize in pain management. She also speaks Mandarin.

Dr. Hoshino moved to Hawaii to be with her husband, Dr. Matt Hoshino, a practicing local Endodontist. When Dr. Hoshino is not performing root canal treatment, she enjoys outdoor activities such as running on the beach, fishing, and hunting.
